CERVA GROUP a.s. successfully took over a 74 % stake in Tomás Bodero S.A., Spain

With the takeover of the Spanish company Tomás Bodero (TB), CERVA GROUP (CG) will strengthen its strategic position in the personal protective equipment (PPE) market in South-West Europe and Latin America

The renowned Spanish manufacturer of safety work gloves and footwear is a major European player in the sector. Among other things, the company has its own research and development team and continually introduces product innovations. By acquiring Tomás Bodero S.A., CG continues its strategic ambition to get a strong position in all major PPE markets in Europe. By taking over TB, CERVA GROUP will open markets in the more than sixty countries worldwide which CG now successfully operates in, to its partner. On the contrary, CG will trade with PPE in Latin America through the TOMAS BODERO LATAM, Corp branch in Panama.

CERVA GROUP's business strategy is built upon three main pillars - workwear, work footwear, and safety work gloves. With the acquisition of TB, the company will be able to expand significantly in the segment of special applications work gloves. With this step, CG's product portfolio will newly include not only the TB® brand (hand protection for industrial applications) but also Dermik disposable gloves and Dragon Gloves® safety and fire-fighting gloves. CG has also strengthened its footwear assortment by acquiring the BeeWork® brand.

This is not the first acquisition in the CERVA GROUP by a long sight. Since 2006, CG has become the owner of other companies, such as Calzaturificio Panda Sport S.r.l., the Italian manufacturer of work footwear or Vektor Munkavédelmi Kft., the Hungarian manufacturer of safety clothing. Over the following years, it acquired otto schachner ApS in Denmark, Rehamij Nederland B.V. in the Netherlands, and last but not least, the Finnish company BockMann Finland Oy. In 2016, CG entered the promising market in the Republic of South Africa through Select PPE Holdings (Pty) Ltd, the local market leader in personal protective equipment.
