Unipetrol is aware of such risks and that is why the company held its Safety Day in Kralupy nad Vltavou on 17th October. Interestingly, the central oil tank, into which oil travels from places such as the Russian oil pipeline Druzhba, is located in the nearby Nelahozeves.
Lectures on occupational safety were held all day long in a friendly atmosphere and our lecture on suitable work equipment was naturally one of them. In cooperation with JSP, we refreshed the minds of Unipetrol employees when it comes to the most important standards and we introduced equipment that meets the requirements of such standards. For example, we demonstrated:
- the CleanSpace active filtration and ventilation unit
- Head protection compliant with EN 397 and EN 812 where Unipetrol employees had an opportunity to test the ultralight EVOLite;
- Eye protection compliant with EN 166 - Stelath 16g goggles.
The lecture that was originally planned for an hour stretched out into an hour and half and we almost didn't want to go home. We answered all questions, distributed some of our PPE and didn't forget to mention that Unipetrol can order all products from our distributor SOS Litvínov.
