Červa Group has a new branch in Romania

Prague, 20 July 2015 - Červa Export Import (Červa EI) acquired a majority stake in the Romania-based CERVA ROMANIA SRL which has thus officially become a part of the Červa Group branch network.

Červa Group acquired a 50.01% stake in CERVA ROMANIA SRL, thus becoming a majority shareholder in this independent franchising company closely cooperating with the Červa EI group of companies. This implies that the Romanian company becomes a fully-fledged part of the Červa Group. "We are very pleased with the acquisition of Cerva Romania and believe that our share in the Romanian market of personal protective equipment will increase. This acquisition is in consistence with our strategic objectives which include, among others, the support of profitable business and a continuous company growth. We strongly welcome the quality and experience offered by Cerva Romania and will strive to unlock and further develop the full potential thereof", said Petr Horák from Červa Export Import a.s.

Cerva Romania was established in 2011 in the form of a franchise. It has operated with great success in this format for several years and gained an important position in the Romanian market. However, the current status was no longer suitable for further successful cooperation and development. The subsequent acquisition was, also given the need for further dynamic development in the Romanian market, a logical result of the situation. The internal structure of Cerva Romania will not change in any way after its acquisition. Radu Ionescu, who has been with the company since 2010, will also continue at the position of the Country Manager.

Cerva Romania operates only in the domestic market for personal protective equipment and serves large, medium-sized as well as small distributors. In cooperation with local distributors, it participates in a number of large tenders where it provides maximum support to the distributors. In order for the branch to be able to better serve the Romanian market, it hired three additional sales representatives for the sales department. Cerva Romania operates as an independent and self-contained unit which has, in addition to its own sales department, also its marketing department, logistics and purchasing department and an accounting department. As is the case with other branches, however, all activities are under the control of Červa EI.

Červa EI is an international player in the PPE industry. Its branches grow every year and are gradually gaining a greater market share in all European countries. Červa EI is very stable thanks its strong financial foundation and an extensive portfolio of suppliers and customers, which is also demonstrated by its consolidated turnover of CZK 3.7 billion in 2014.
